Read more →. First 5 gallon batch of UJSSM was stripped and added with the 5 gallon 2nd gen wash for a spirit run. First gen was basically just a big batch of feints, in effect. Smelled and tasted quite strongly of really bad tequila. Proofed the middle two jars, #4 and #5, and they're at 150 and 140, respectively. They also smell and taste the best. May I add that I've been switching from UJSSM and plain sugar washes to DWWG with its soft wheat flavours, mild whiskey taste off the still, and a fine low wine for vodka or gin.
